Manly in Sydney Australia is most Famous for its many beaches. The main beach features a long stretch of sand on the ocean side, that runs all the way from from Queenscliff Beach to North Steyne Beach and Manly Beach. This is followed by rock pools and sandy beaches called Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach, Collins beach, Store beach, Quarantine beach, Little Manly beach, East and West Manly Cove beach, Delwood beach and Fairlight beach make up part of the beaches on the harbour side of the peninsula. Once off the ferry at Manly wharf you find many harbour view restaurants and pubs. If your after the main beach walk down the Corso which is paved pedestrian mall full of retail shops, pubs and cafes with the side streets also full of bars and food outlets. If your feeling energetic and in a sightseeing mood the Manly to North Head walk is one of Sydney’s most beautiful bushwalking hikes. Initially a traditional healing place for the Gayemagal people who were the traditional owners of this land. The main walk covers about 10kms through bushland with stunning views over the Pacific Ocean and Sydney Harbour. The area is 680 acres that includes the National park, Quarantine Station and the old Artillery school. The best thing is that it starts in manly and finishes in Manly.
